Biography
Paul Clement is a well-known Tanzanian gospel artist whose work goes beyond music into ministry, evangelism, songwriting, production, and more recently, film writing and acting. He is widely recognized for powerful gospel songs such as “Amenifanyia Amani” (He Has Given Me Peace), “Wakati wa Mungu” (God’s Timing), and “Amefanya Mungu” (God Has Done It). His music carries strong messages of love, faith, and trust in God, which have resonated deeply with listeners across the region.
With a catalog of over 32 songs, Paul Clement’s journey into music began after a deep spiritual conviction to use his gift to impact lives. Many of his songs are drawn from personal experiences—“Amenifanyia Amani,” for example, was inspired by a difficult season in his life during which he found peace through God. He is a devoted member of Tabernacle Bible Church and believes his life and music should serve as an “open letter,” reflecting God’s work through his ministry.
Paul credits the direction, success, and depth of his music to his close fellowship with the Holy Spirit. He strongly believes that God’s timing is revealed when individuals discover their true purpose—something he personally experienced when he realized his calling in singing. He spent much of his early life in Songea and Dar es Salaam, where he completed his primary education, before moving to Upanga West to attend Azania Secondary School, the place where his musical talent began to fully take shape.
